The history of Basic
Basic Blue Bar was developed in 1988 and 1989 as part of our
first generation modern braille embossers. It came in two
models, classic and advanced. The small, light and efficient
Basic was received well by our customers, which spurred further
development.
In 1995 Basic V2 was introduced. It looked like Basic does today, a well
known and much liked design. With V2 there was a choice between
single- or double sided embossing.
In 2003 Basic V3 took the next step forward. All modern Basic
embossers use the latest Braille technology, including double
sided embossing, USB and Network support.
